PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displacement detector, sufficiently equipped with an effectiveness, that is, resistance to electric noise, comparable with that of a displacement detector using a constant-current power supply, without using a high-cost constant-current power supply even in cases where a circuit element substrate is kept away from a heat source in order to avoid an adverse thermal effect, removing in-phase noise such as switching noise, and contributing to cost cutting by reducing the area of an MR element substrate to half. SOLUTION: This displacement detector is used in a temperature environment not lower than an operating upper-limit temperature for normal operation of circuit elements such as semiconductors. This displacement detector, equipped with a magnetoresistive element substrate 12 and a circuit element substrate 14 on separate substrates, is characterized in that a bridge circuit comprises four resistance bodies, that is, two resistance bodies disposed on the substrate 12 and two resistance bodies disposed on the substrate 14, and that an output voltage is taken out from two connection points between the resistance bodies disposed on the substrate 12 and the resistance bodies disposed on the substrate 14.
