PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selenium treatment agent easily removing selenium from selenium-containing water based on a new technique wherein problems in the well-known arts are all solved, and a method and apparatus for treating selenium-containing water. SOLUTION: The selenium treatment agent for removing selenium from selenium-containing water contains hydroxyapatite. In the treatment method of selenium-containing water, the treatment agent is brought into contact with the selenium-containing water, then subjected to solid/liquid separation, and selenium is removed from the selenium-containing water. The treatment apparatus for the selenium-containing water comprises an introduction pipe for the selenium-containing water, a supply pipe for the selenium treatment agent containing hydroxyapatite, a stirrer, and a reaction tank having a clear supernatant liquid flow-out pipe and a precipitate discharge pipe.
