<p>A buffer composition which comprises at least one salt selected from the group consisting of sulfates, sulfites, phosphates, and carbonates and a modifier. The buffer enables primer annealing and complementary chain synthesis even under low-temperature conditions. Site-specific complementary chain synthesis based on a primer as short as, e.g., 10 mer is possible. The buffer is useful in the GP method.</p> |
