The disk brake (10) has a housing (12) containing a caliper (26) enclosing part of the annular disk (14). The disk rotates about the same axis (A) as the wheel. The housing contains brake pads on either side of the disk and there are wedges and linear actuators on one side of the disk and a motor driving worms to turn worm wheels to apply the parking brake.
