ON-VEHICLE INVERTER DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle inverter device capable of efficiently utilizing heat generated by an inverter as electric energy.

SOLUTION: This on-vehicle inverter device is provided with a motor 7 for driving a vehicle; an inverter 4 that supplies prescribed electric power to the motor 7; a cooling mechanism 5 for the inverter 4; and a thermoelectric generating element 6 that is thermally connected to both the inverter 4 and the cooling mechanism 5 and that uses the inverter 4 at the high-temperature side, and the cooling mechanism 5 at the low-temperature side. By thermally connecting the thermoelectric generating element 6 in such a configuration that the inverter 4 is put at the high-temperature side and the cooling mechanism 5 at the low-temperature side, electric power can be generated using a temperature difference between the inverter 4 and the cooling mechanism 5, and this generated electric power can be outputted as usable electric energy.
