<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with channel hopping in an encoding system with a function of distributing the sequence parameter set information and the picture parameter set information through the outband (other than video encoded bit streams) in units of slices, and control a receiver when the same ID is used among different channels or the number of combined parameters exceeds the limited number of IDs. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a method wherein the parameter set information is received through the outband, and the sequence parameter set information and the picture parameter set information are given to a decoding processing section in the receiver, and a method wherein the parameter set information is received through the inband, the sequence parameter set information and the picture parameter set information are given to the decoding processing section in the receiver and updated therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
