<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device capable of performing excellent display operations when a signal is supplied by means of a current signal. <P>SOLUTION: The active type display device 1 is equipped with: 1st video signal wiring 103 and 2nd video signal wiring 104 which are arranged along the columns of pixels 200; and a video signal driver 300 which supplies a base current I<SB>B</SB>to the pixels 200 through the 1st video signal wiring 103 and further supplies a gradation current I<SB>C</SB>in the direction opposite to the base current I<SB>B</SB>to the pixels through the 2nd video wiring 104. A pixel circuit 220 includes a 1st pixel switch SS1 connected to the 1st video signal wiring 103 and a 2nd pixel switch SS2 connected to the 2nd video signal wiring 104, stores the difference current between the gradation current I<SB>C</SB>and base current I<SB>B</SB>when pixels are selected, and outputs the stored difference current as a driving current I<SB>D</SB>to a display element 210 when the pixels are not selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
