HEAT-SENSITIVE LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE PRECURSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive working lithographic printing plate precursor showing large difference between in an exposed region and in an unexposed region and having high sensitivity.

SOLUTION: The positive working lithographic printing plate precursor disclosed comprises a hydrophilic supporting body and a coating applied thereon. The coating comprises a first layer containing an oleophilic resin soluble in an aqueous alkaline developer and a second layer comprising a water-repellent compound, layered in this order. The coating comprises an IR absorbing dye containing a perfluoroalkyl group which gives high sensitivity to the printing plate precursor.
