<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonograph which improves a precision in detecting a surface position of a subject. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonograph 1 is constituted of an ultrasound probe 2, a mainframe 3 (an ultrasound observation device), a monitor 4, and an operation setting part 5. The mainframe 3 is equipped with a surface extraction part (a surface position extraction part) 31 for extracting the surface position of the subject from a scan line of ultrasound echo data acquired by sending and receiving ultrasound to and from the subject, and a correction part (a surface position correction part) 32 for correcting the surface position of the subject extracted by the surface extraction part 31. The correction part 32 groups the surface positions of the subject extracted by the surface extraction part 31 for a prescribed number of the scan lines and calculates an intermediate value of a prescribed number of data groups, and statistically processes this calculated intermediate value to be replaced as relevant data of the scan lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
