<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a method for disintegrating a water-containing polymer as is capable of dispersing uniformly the disintegrated matter and gives no adhesion from the disintegrated matter. <P>SOLUTION: The method for disintegrating a water-containing polymer with a solid content of 50-70 % by mass by means of a screw extruder is characterized by disintegrating it while supplying to this extruder 0.1-30 parts by mass of water relative to 100 parts by mass of this polymer. This method causes no massive matter at the time of drying because of having the disintegrated matter prevented from the adhesion to thereby permit to prevent the fine particle generation owing to the crushing of the massive matter, and consequently enables to manufacture the water absorptive resin which is excellent in the absorptivity and which contains a small amount of the water-soluble matter and the remaining monomer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
