<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve conformability of a sliding surface under an initial state of sliding. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of holes 7 are formed on the sliding surface, and diameters of the holes 7 on the sliding surface (opening areas) are increased from a center in an axial direction to both ends in the axial direction.
