<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the costs required for manufacturing recording/reproducing equipment and an optical recording medium by increasing the design margin of the recording/reproducing equipment and a recording layer design margin in a simple configuration and by increasing the versatility. <P>SOLUTION: In a multilayered structure optical recording medium 1, a first information recording layer 3, a second information recording layer 4, and a third information recording layer 5 each having a different physical format are concentrically arranged on different levels in the thickness direction of the optical recording medium 1; the boundary sections between information recording layers 3, 4, 5 are connected by a tapered surface; the same quantity of reflection light is obtained from each of information recording layers 3, 4, 5 when information is recorded/reproduced; and the design margin of the recording/reproducing equipment and the recording layer design margin are increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
