<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus using a toner recycling system featuring that: sequence control to inject a residual toner in specified timing is carried out, the residual toner remaining on an image carrying body after transferred and held in a nip part between the image carrying body and a contact electrifying member, so that the toner is accurately injected to between the image carrying body and an image recording medium and that image defects can be prevented; and the exposure light quantity is increased as the number of continuously passing sheets increases so as to respond the amount of the residual toner which increases with the number of passing sheets. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus is equipped with: a means to electrify the image carrying body by contact electrification and to produce an electrostatic latent image on the electrified face of the image carrying body; a means to visualize the electrostatic latent image with the toner; and a means to transfer the visualized toner image onto the image recording medium. In this apparatus, a pre-exposure apparatus 7 is installed between the transfer part and the contact withstand electrifying part, and the image carrying body is exposed to increase the potential contrast with respect to the contact withstand electrifying member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
