<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic wastewater treatment apparatus and method capable of stably realizing biological treatment producing only a small amount of excess sludge with a relatively economical technique. <P>SOLUTION: Settled sludge in a settling tank 18 is allowed to flow into a high speed agitating and dispersing machine 24, in which the sludge is subjected to dispersion treatment and is divided into small particles. Then, the dispersed sludge is allowed to flow into a preceding step reactor 10, in which the sludge is brought into contact with raw water. Since the dispersed sludge is activated, the efficient BOD treatment is performed in the preceding step reactor 10, the BODSS load in a biological treatment tank is reduced and the amount of sludge production is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
