PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for producing a bag capable of producing automatically a plastic bag in which bodies 3a and 3b, body gussets 4a and 4b, bottom bodies 6a and 6b and bottom gussets 7a and 7b are formed of a body material 1 and a bottom material 2. SOLUTION: The upper layer of a body and both layers of a body gusset are continuously cut by a cutter 17 at every intermittent feed of a body material, whereby an open-cut part of the body material is formed, and further at every intermittent feed of the body material, the bottom material is inserted between both layers of the body in the open-cut part of the body material, one layer of both layers of the bottom gussets is inserted together with one layer of the bottom bodies between one layer of the body gusset and one layer of the body, and the other layer of both layers of the body is inserted together with the other layer of the bottom bodies between the other layer of the body gusset and the other layer of the body.
