PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely distinguish a welding method applied with either one between a MAG (metal active gas) welding method and a TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding method, in the welded joint 5 at which an austenitic stainless steel-made rotary shaft 2 is joined with a mild steel-made shaft pipe 4 by the MAG welding method or the TIG welding method. SOLUTION: Oxygen content in the metallographic structure at the welded joined part 5 is measured, and this measured oxygen content is compared with the oxygen content in the metallographic structure at the welded joint joining a first sample piece having the same material as the rotary shaft 2 and a second sample piece having the same material as the shaft pipe 4 with the MAG welding method, and the oxygen content in the metallographic structure at the welded joined part joining the first sample piece having the same material as the rotary shaft 2 and the second sample piece having the same material as the shaft pipe 4 with the TIG welding method.
