PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent mechanical properties such as wear resistance, scratch resistance and smoothness for repeated use and having excellent electric characteristics under a whole environment from a low temperature and low humidity environment to a high temperature and high humidity environment. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer on a conductive supporting body, the photosensitive layer contains a charge transport substance which has≤0.1 mg/cm3solubility at 25°C with respect to a mixture solvent having the ratio of tetrahydrofuran:toluene=8:2.
