SEPARATION PREVENTIVE PIPE FITTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation preventive pipe fitting capable of forming a projection on the periphery of a pipe spigot easily, for example at the site of laying a pipeline. SOLUTION: The pipe fitting is structured so that a spigot 14 formed at the end of one pipe 13 is inserted into a socket 12 formed at the end of another pipe 11 to be joined together and the spigot projection 20 formed on the periphery of the spigot 14 abuts to a lock ring 17 installed inside the socket 12 so as to prevent the socket and spigot from separating from each other. The spigot projection 20 is configured so that a ring-shaped projection 23 formed at the inside surface of a spigot ring 22 to be fitted on the spigot 14 is fitted in a ring groove 21 formed at the periphery of the spigot 14. The ring-shaped projection 23 is formed in a position nearer the innermost in the socket than the open end of the spigot ring 22 on its socket opening side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
