PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching apparatus and an attaching method for hand-carrying tapes, which do not deform, damage, or break an object, can attach hand-carrying tapes firmly to the object in a good yield. SOLUTION: The attaching apparatus is constituted of a rotary mechanism 10, a holder mechanism 13 with one or a plurality of object holding parts 14, which are arranged in the rotating direction of the rotary mechanism and have a mechanism capable of opening operation for throwing the object in the radial direction of the rotary mechanism to be held there, a hand-carrying tape fixing mechanism 19 which is fitted to the rotary mechanism, together with the holder mechanism, and fixes the hand-carrying tape to the object held by the holder mechanism, a tape supply mechanism 26 which supplies the hand-carrying tape to the fixing mechanism, and a hand-carrying tape cutting mechanism 32 which cuts the tape supplied to the fixing mechanism into a desired length.
