摘要 A compact type large capacity titanium electrolytic capacitor with minimized leakage current is provided which takes advantage of a stable complextitanium oxide film having a large surface dielectric constant formed on a titanium substrate. The complex titanium oxide film is a film of a complex titanium oxide represented by the general formula Mx (TiO3)y wherein M is at least an ion of metal selected from the group consisting of lithium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium and lanthanum, x is equivalent to the valence of TiO3, and y is equivalent to the valence of the metal ion M. The film has a thickness of 5 mum or less and is composed of particles having an average particle diameter of 5-250 nm. A titanium electrolytic capacitor using, as an anode, a metal substrate having the above complex titanium oxide film is also provided.
