PURPOSE: A submersible motor pump protection system is provided to prevent a submersible motor from operating at an overload state by interrupting a power supply when a rotation number of a propeller is dropped below a predetermined rotation number. CONSTITUTION: A submersible motor pump protection system comprises first and second pulse generating parts(11,12), a rotation direction judging part(20), a rotation velocity judging part(30), a micro computer(40), a motor power supply part(50) and an alarm part(60). The first pulse generating part(11) is installed at an end part of a motor shaft, and senses a specific point at a rotation operation of the motor shaft to generate a first pulse signal corresponding to the sensed rotation operation. The second pulse generating part(12) is installed so as to be spaced apart from the first pulse generating part(11), and generates a second pulse signal having a predetermined phase difference with the first pulse signal. The rotation direction judging part(20) judges a rotation direction of the motor shaft in response to the first and second pulse signals, and the rotation velocity judging part(30) judges a rotation velocity in response to the first and second pulse signals. The micro computer(40) judges a driven state of a motor according to output signals of the judging parts(20,30), and the motor power supply part(50) interrupts a power supplied to the motor according to a control signal of the micro computer(40). The alarm part(60) alarms a manager an abnormal state of the motor according to a control signal of the micro computer.
