PURPOSE: An inclination control device of a steering column is provided to restrict an upper steering column from unlocking by an undesired malfunction by receiving a connection portion of upper and lower steering columns and preventing interference from the outside and to improve operation reliability of locking/unlocking. CONSTITUTION: An inclination control device of a steering column is composed of a lower steering column(110) for receiving movably a lower steering shaft fixed with a steering gear and having a fixed gear unit(111) formed at the upper end; an upper steering column(120) for receiving movably an upper steering shaft having one end combined with the lower steering shaft by a universal joint and having a movable gear unit(121) movably shaft-mounted at the lower end and engaged with the fixed gear unit; a supporting bracket(130) pivot-combined with the upper steering column and fastened to a vehicle body to receive a connection portion of the upper and lower steering columns; an elastic body(140) joined between the movable gear unit and the supporting bracket to hold mutual engagement of the fixed and movable gear units; and a tilt lever(150) combined to the movable gear unit to release the engagement of the fixed and movable gear units.
