<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal-type variable transmission, supplying enough lubricating oil to a pocket receiving a rolling element and accelerating discharge of lubricating oil to keep flowability of lubricating oil in the part concerned, thereby preventing abrasion and seizure to keep efficient and stable operation of a transmission over a long period of time in a cage of a thrust rolling bearing for supporting a power roller of a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The thrust rolling bearing includes: two or more rolling elements; and a cage 81A having the pocket for holding the two or more rolling elements to freely roll. The cage 81A is provided with a return oil passage 85 inclined to the radial direction so that lubricating oil is introduced from the outer peripheral side of the cage 81A to the inner peripheral side with the rotation of the cage 81A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
