<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormal condition determining device capable of certainly determining an abnormal condition that has occurred in a vehicular hydraulic control circuit. <P>SOLUTION: An abnormal condition determining means 78 is included, which keeps a power source of an electronic control device 42 in an on-state for a specified time after an ignition switch 44 is operated from the on-state to an off-state, and determines the abnormal condition occurred in the hydraulic control circuit 62 within a specified time. Therefore, a state that oil pressure can be generated from a electromagnetic control valve and a state that the oil pressure cannot be generated is compared, so that it is determined on which the abnormal condition occurs between the electromagnetic control valve or a hydraulic switch.
