COOLING DEVICE FOR ALLEVIATING PAIN ON PUNCTURING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for alleviating a pain on puncturing which cools skin quickly without using a volatile vapor coolant and simultaneously uses light irradiation which prevents constriction of cutaneous blood vessels efficiently and dilates blood vessels efficiently.

SOLUTION: The cooling device 10 for alleviating the pain on puncturing has a cooling part 20 which includes a peltier element 21 and cools the skin 50 and a light irradiation part 30 for emitting light 31 with a wavelength showing vasodilating effects to the skin. The emitted light is a laser beam with the wavelength between 400 nm - 600 nm or monochromatic light with an absorption peak between 400 nm - 600 nm. The cooling device has a temperature detecting part 70 for detecting a temperature of the skin and a controlling part 60 for controlling a temperature of the cooling part. The controlling part controls the temperature of the cooling part based on the detected temperature of the skin.
