<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently drain water out of a bottom part of a muffler, even in a muffler of specifications having low back pressure performance, in drain structure of a muffler for an automobile or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust bypass pipe 15 has one end 15a opening to the inside of an inlet pipe 10 of the muffler 1, and the other end 15b opening to a lower part of an upstream end part 11 of an outlet pipe 11. Preferably, an end part on an outlet pipe 1 side of the exhaust bypass pipe 15 may open inward of the outlet pipe 11, and at least a diameter of the lower part of the upstream end part 11a of the outlet pipe 11 may be enlarged to gradually and smoothly curve outward in a radial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
