<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reserve / release dynamic QoS interlocked with SIP signaling. <P>SOLUTION: A cable VoIP system 100 wherein a speech is carried out with a speech destination on a WAN 202 via an HFC 203 between a CMTS 201 of an enterprise and CMs 111 in subscriber's homes 101, 102 is characterized in to include: an MTA processing section 123 for applying analog/digital conversion to voice in the subscriber's home, transceiving voice data, and performing SIP signaling to a speech destination in matching with start / end of a call; a QoS message exchange section 132 for using the CM of the subscriber's home wherein the speech is made, monitoring the SIP signaling of the MTA processing section, analyzing an SDP included in the message of the SIP signaling, deciding the period of a band of an uplink and the size of the band, and exchanging the message with the CMTS to request the CMTS for addition / deletion of the QoS; and a QoS addition / deletion section 211 in the CMTS for adding the QoS to / deleting the QoS from the voice data transceived by the MTA processing section in response to the addition / deletion request of the QoS message exchange section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
