PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate trouble that a predicted replenishing day and a day on which toner are actually exhausted, are deviated in the case that the quantity of toner to be used per day changes in the middle of use, when the averaged quantity of toner used per day from the latest toner replenishing day to the previous day is used to predict the next toner replenishing day. SOLUTION: A reference to be used for predicting the next toner replenishing day is selected on the basis of the number of days in which the quantity of toner to be used has a difference which is equal with or more than the predetermined quantity, from the averaged quantity of toner used per day from the latest toner replenishing day to the previous day. When the number of days is large, the recent averaged quantity of toner used per day is used for predicting the next toner replenishing day. When the number of days is small, the averaged quantity of toner used per day from the latest toner replenishing day to the previous day is used for predicting the toner replenishing day.
