SOLID LUBRICANT AND SLIDE MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lead-free solid lubricant which exerts a sliding property equivalent to or higher than that of a lead-containing solid lubricant under a high-load condition. SOLUTION: The solid lubricant is intended to be filled in a pore or groove formed on a sliding surface of a slide member substrate. The solid lubricant comprise 20-40 wt.% at least one wax selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbon wax, a higher fatty acid, a higher fatty acid ester and a higher fatty acid amide, 20-40 wt.% melamine cyanurate and 20-50 wt.% tetrafluoroethylene resin.
