PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of backfire or the like due to EGR (emission gas recirculation) in a hydrogen engine and improve fuel consumption by reducing NOx. SOLUTION: If it is judged that the combustion temperature of the hydrogen engine 10 is low, an internal EGR amount is increased and an ignition timing correction amount is set to spark advance side (steps S101 to S104). As a result, generation of the backfire or the like caused by ignition speed-down in the hydrogen engine 10 can be prevented and NOx can be reduced, thus improving fuel consumption. If it is judged that the combustion state of the hydrogen engine 10 is degraded, on the other hand, the internal EGR amount is decreased and the ignition timing correction amount is set to lag side (steps S105 to S108). As a result, the EGR amount in the hydrogen engine 10 can be restrained from being excessively supplied, thus preventing degradation of drivability due to backfire or the like.
