<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate exposure of a material to be heated with fuel gas and combustion gas and to purify gas generated in a heating furnace, by shielding a catalytic combustion unit so as not to feed mixed gas and catalytic combustion gas from the combustion unit to the furnace. SOLUTION: A periphery of a heating furnace 1 is surrounded by a heat insulator 2, and a conveyor 4 for placing and moving a material 3 to be heated is installed therein. A catalytic combustion unit 5 is installed on an upper wall surface of the furnace 1, a mixed gas supply tube 8 communicating with an air supply tube 6 and a fuel supply tube 7 is connected to radiate a heat generated by catalytic combustion into the furnace 1. The unit 5 is shielded so as not to feed from the unit 5 to the mixed gas and the combustion gas to the furnace 1. Thus, the material is not substantially exposed with fuel gas and combustion gas, and gas generated in the furnace 1 can be purified.</p> |
