PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission apparatus such as an Internet facsimile machine for allowing an apparatus at a transmission destination to form an image with an impression intended by an operator. SOLUTION: A flowchart for denoting the processing of the image transmission apparatus 1 includes: a step S15 of reading an image of a size transmitted from a sheet; a step S18 of determining a size of an image formed by the apparatus of the transmission destination for receiving image data on the basis of the size inputted by the operator; and then a step S22 of generating image data whereby the image with the determined size is formed on the basis of the read image; and a step S23 of transmitting the generated image data to the apparatus of the transmission destination.
