PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fingerprint authentication system capable of preventing deterioration of authentication accuracy for a child in a growth process. SOLUTION: A fingerprint authentication system is provided with; fingerprint registration data part 12 having fingerprint data registered therein; a fingerprint reading part 10 for reading fingerprint data; a fingerprint collation part 11 for examining whether the fingerprint registration data part has fingerprint data matching fingerprint data read by the fingerprint reading part or not; and a control part 13 for substituting or adding fingerprint data read by the fingerprint reading part for or to fingerprint data which exists in the fingerprint registration data part and matches fingerprint data read by the fingerprint reading part, when the fingerprint register data part has fingerprint data matching fingerprint data read by the fingerprint reading part.
