PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient finding of a document as a search target, in a similar document search method, by excluding noise from a document group ordered for ranked display by similarity calculation between a seed document and each document in a database, without changing the order. SOLUTION: The similar document search method, which handles single words that are a minimal meaningful unit as index terms, displays rankings by filtering out only documents (noise) without a relationship between specific single words, such as a compound or a paraphrase.
