PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thermal adverse effect on a working member mounted to a table by restraining heat generated in a coil of a linear motor type single axis robot, from being transferred to the table for mounting the working member. SOLUTION: This linear motor type single axis robot is provided with a robot body 1 and a movable member 2 linearly movable in a fixed direction to the robot body 1. The robot body is provided with a shaft-like stator part 10 with permanent magnets arranged in an axial direction. The movable member is provided with a movable block 15 equipped with the coil which surrounds the stator part, and the table 24 connected to the movable block 15, for mounting the working member. The table 24 is connected to the movable block 15 in a state of interposing between them a heat insulating plate 27 formed of a heat insulating material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
