This invention is relating to a method and a charging valve for filling an ink cartridge with ink enabling the ink cartridge to be filled with ink by reducing the internal pressure of the cartridge of which the contained ink has been completely consumed and then using a change in the internal pressure of the cartridge. It is characterized by comprising a support member (1) to be inserted into a discharging hole (11) of the ink cartridge (10), a transfer tube (2) which is protuberantly formed at the lower center of the said support member(1) and in which a flow channel (3) is formed, a block member (4) which is elastically installed with a spring (5) with it being inserted into the upper center of the said support member (1) and a cap (6) which is combined with the upper part of the said support member (1) so that the said block member (4) may not be separated and at the center of which a combination hole is formed.
