METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING CONDUCTIVE POLYMER

A method for producing a conductive polymer is disclosed which is a chemical polymerization method wherein at least a monomer and an oxidant are reacted for obtaining the conductive polymer and the reaction between the monomer and the oxidant is conducted at least in a polymerization vessel in a supersaturated water vapor atmosphere. A flat conductive polymer (10) can be obtained by this method. Consequently, this method for producing a conductive polymer enables to form a solid electrolytic capacitor having low ESR and high capacity at the same time while realizing low loss and low leakage current. An apparatus for producing such a conductive polymer is also disclosed.
