PURPOSE: A fire suppression system is provided to enhance the correctness of fire suppression and the detection performance by detecting and extinguishing fire in the train or subway early and automatically and allowing the central monitoring system or the passenger at the fire field to control and operate the alarm facility directly. CONSTITUTION: The fire suppression system comprises a smoke detector(100); a heat detector(110); an image detector(120); a key signal input unit(130); an alarm unit(400) for generating audile alarm signal; a mist sprayer unit(410); a central monitoring system(500) for monitoring fire, selecting the automatic or manual mode and transmitting the control signal for the operation of the alarm unit(400); a control unit(200) for reporting the current state, receiving the selection mode and the alarm unit(400) control information to and from the central monitoring unit(500), determining the occurrence of the fire and sending the control signal to the alarm unit(400) and the mist sprayer unit(410); a first switch(300) for controlling alarm unit(400); a second switch(310) for operating the mist sprayer unit.
