PURPOSE: A recording/reproducing method using padding information, a recording/reproducing device thereof and an information storage medium thereof are provided to enable a disk drive to distinguish valid data from invalid data within an error correction block, thereby increasing reproduction reliability and guaranteeing system stability. CONSTITUTION: Recording unit blocks where invalid data are padded in certain parts are recorded. Padding information informing that the invalid data are contained is recorded. When recording the padding information, the padding information is recorded in order to correspond to at least one recording unit block. When recording the padding information, the padding information is recorded in order to correspond to at least one reproduction unit block. The padding information is recorded within the recording unit blocks.
