<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing mat manufacturing method capable of manufacturing an inexpensive deodorizing mat having a deodorizing function and a moisture absorbing function, and the deodorizing mat. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorizing mat manufacturing method includes a first process for holding zeolite with a particle size of 7 mm or less by a first seal sheet having air permeability and a second seal sheet of which the air permeability is lower than that of the first seal sheet so as to leave predetermined intervals in longitudinal and lateral directions and a second process for bonding the first and second seal sheets between adjacent zeolite groups to seal zeolite by the first and second seal sheets.
