<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel composition containing a molybdenum source and a metal-containing detergent, and to provide its use in two-stroke engines. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel composition for two-stroke engines comprises a combustible liquid hydrocarbon fuel, a lubricating agent containing oil with lubricating viscosity, the detergent containing a compound containing an alkaline earth metal, and the molybdenum source. The method for controlling adverse affects on after-treatment of at least one metal contamination and the above compounds in the exhaust stream due to the combustion of the combustible fuel composition in the combustion system of the two-stroke engine comprises the following processes; (a) intake of the fuel composition into the combustion system of the two-stroke engine, (b) producing a combustion product containing at least the alkali earth metal and at least one material selected from these compounds by combusting the liquid hydrocarbon fuel in the combustion system, (c) contacting the molybdenum with the at least one alkali earth metal and these compounds in the combustion product, and (d) feeding the combustion product to at least one catalyst, sensor and a diagnostic apparatus for automobile use or their combination, wherein, the molybdenum mutually reacts with the at least one alkali earth metal or these compounds to be effective for increasing cleanliness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
