<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: a skew correcting operation is performed only by a registration means in a conventional apparatus, the skew correcting operation is not always and surely performed by the registration means in accordance with the kind and size of sheet, then, the sheet is fed to a transfer part in an inclined state and the deterioration of image quality occurs. <P>SOLUTION: When the sheet is pulled out of a paper feeding cassette by a pickup roller 111 or a pickup roller 121, a preliminary skew correcting operation is performed by a CPU 100 through a feed roller 112 based on the sheet detection by a pre-feed sheet sensor 85, besides, the final skew correcting operation is performed by the CPU 100 through a gate roller 81 based on the sheet detection by a pre-gate sheet sensor 84. Besides, whether or not the preliminary skew correcting operation should be performed is decided by the CPU 100 based on the carrying direction dimension of the sheet pulled out by the pickup rollers 111 and 121. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
