PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain at low cost a fixing device capable of preventing a foreign material from being infiltrated into an opening. SOLUTION: Guide members 68, 70 comprising a recording paper feeding path are provided to be opened/closed with respect to a recording paper carry-in port 54 or a recording paper carry-out port 56 and while detaching a fixing device 28 from an image forming device main body, the recording paper carry-in port 54 or the recording paper carry-out port 56 is closed, so that the guide members 68, 70 are combined with functions of an opening/closing member such as a shutter. Besides, legs 74 specifying the top/bottom of a casing 28A are protruded to the opening side of a driven gear opening 60 and a connector 58. Thus, when the fixing device 28 is detached from the image forming device main body and placed on a plane, the driven gear opening 60 and the connector 58 are turned down inevitably, so that the foreign material can be also prevented from being infiltrated into openings of the driven gear opening 60 and the connector 58.
