PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cutting and packaging a heat developable photosensitive material in such a way that image defects are not caused in use, and to provide a heat developable photosensitive material package packaged by the method. SOLUTION: The method for packaging a heat developable photosensitive material includes a cutting step in which a heat developable photosensitive material containing a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder on the same surface of a support and including a conductive layer on at least one surface side of the support is cut to a prescribed size; and a packaging step in which the cut heat developable photosensitive material is put in a packaging material and packaged, wherein the cutting step and/or the packaging step is carried out in an environment whose cleanliness is≤10,000 in U.S. Federal standard 209d class.
