PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic system provided with a function to display character data in an easily identifiable manner even if the character data are long. SOLUTION: The electronic system is equipped with a display means for displaying characters in a preset display region based on the data and a display changing means for changing the display state of character strings to be displayed in the display region in a manner as to make the contents shown by the character string checkable when the number of the characters of the character string to be displayed exceeds the character displayable number of the display region. The display changing means displays the character string in the display region by changing the character string to the form of permitting the check of the display contents in an easier way when such character string as to exceed the displayable number of the display region are to be displayed according to the system, and therefore a user is made able to easily check the contents shown by the character string.
