PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup holder which can hold a cup regardless of the material of the cup even when made of a magnetic body or a non-magnetic body, and in addition, can extremely stably hold the cup while being a magnetic type, and can hold the cup upside-down, regarding the cup holder which is used for drinking potable water from a water tank shared by many people. SOLUTION: In a cup holding section for a tank 3 or the like, a plurality of magnets Mg1 and Mg2 are provided with an interval in the horizontal direction at a position being confronted with the external surface of the cup 4, and the cup 4 made of the magnetic body can be attract-held by a plurality of the magnets Mg1 and Mg2. In vicinities of the upper ends of the installation sections 1 and 2 of the magnets Mg1 and Mg2, a stopper S with which the bottom section of the cup 4 comes into contact is provided, and the height of the magnet installation sections 1 and 2 is set to be shorter than a dimension H in the height direction of the cup 4. Thus, the periphery of an cup opening 41 is prevented from coming into contact with the magnet installation sections 1 and 2.
