PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an elliptic shape annular body by which a press-working process can be omitted with a spinning-work and even in the case of being a little amount of products and a deep-drawing product having the elliptic shape, the producing cost can be reduced. SOLUTION: The producing method for the elliptic shape annular body 17, is contained of a first process, in which a blank 34 is set to a forming die 56 for spinning-work and this blank is pushed against the forming die with a spatula bar 42 and an intermediate product 66 is obtained by forming a formed part 65 having almost circle-form and U-shaped cross section, and a second process, in which the intermediate product 66 is set to a die for press-working and elliptic part is formed by giving the deformation to the semicircle of the formed part 65 with this die. In the first process, the formed part having almost circle-form and the U-shaped cross section, needed to the work in the second process, is formed with the forming die for spinning-work.
