The switch has an electric contact (13) and a pressure membrane (9) which converts a fluid or gas pressure into a compressive force. The membrane is made of an elastic material with a small force effect relative to the compressive force. The membrane works as a spring. It generates a force which resists the compressive force. At a particular force it suddenly changes its shape and triggers the contact.
