The invention relates to a filler fitting comprising a valve housing (4) with a water conduit (14), which leads from an inlet (2) that is to be connected to a water supply conduit to a diaphragm valve (26) controlled by a float. A diaphragm (27) has a passage (36) for equalizing the pressure between a chamber (14) upstream of the diaphragm (27) and a chamber (25) downstream of said diaphragm (27). Water flows tangentially into an annular channel (10) upstream of the diaphragm (27), when the diaphragm valve is open (26). A disc-shaped insert (17) that is introduced into the housing (4) forms a lower wall of the annular channel (10), said wall sealing the bottom of the annular channel (10) with the exception of a through passage (22). |
