SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING ROW REMOVED/INSERTED INTO BASE TABLE AND STORING CHANGES

PURPOSE: A system and a method for discriminating a row removed/inserted into a base table and storing changes are provided to efficiently discriminate/store the changes formed on the table, utilize a BLOB(Binary Large OBject) that the row is discriminated/stored on a proper conversion table at a low price, and perform operation without inefficient disk I/O(Input/Output). CONSTITUTION: A DBMS(DataBase Management System)(200) includes the base table(210), a version repository(220), a delta table(230), and a set of conversion tables(240,242) including a removal table(240) and an insertion table(242). The base table stores a present version of data. The version repository stores the previous version to the base table. The delta table discriminates the changes formed on the base table. The conversion tables store the changes formed on the base table. The removal table stores the row removed from the base table. The insertion table stores the inserted row to the base table.
